United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women meet each month for a business, planning, and informational meeting.  We have special programs including guest speakers and project based activities. This group is involved in numerous missions and ministries of our church. Some of our outreach programs include preparing and serving food during our Lenten Lunch series, helping stock the food pantry at the High School of Choice, making cheer bags for shut-ins and nursing home residents, volunteering in many of the church wide activities, and much more. We would like to invite you to attend our meetings on the third Thursday of each month in Room 122 at 10 a.m. Refreshments and kindess are always served. Come be a part of the United Methodist Women. We are part of the largest faith based organization in the world with over 800,000 members. This year we celebrate 150 years of service!

Mission in Motion

Mission in Motion is a group of women who meet about four times a year to do service projects. The projects for this year include making gift bags for patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer at Baylor Scott and White in Waxahachie. This event will take place in October.

In December, the group will make and pack up Cookies for Troops. Last year we sent off 100 dozen.

In February, we will meet to pack up school supplies and cleaning buckets to go to Sager Brown/UMCOR Depot with our mission team.

In April, we will meet to make creative cards to be used by the Congregational Care team at FUMC.

Come be a part of this exciting group who love to get together and serve others.
