Matthew

Genesis 1: 26-31

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
    in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Have you ever felt like you were off course but didn’t know how to change direction?
It’s not where we are now that matters most, but the direction we choose. Whether you’re guiding children or adjusting your own path, discover how even small shifts can lead to life-changing outcomes. Come and reflect on how aiming high starts with reaching low in faith, humility, and love.

Join us this Sunday as we explore the importance of life’s trajectory through Jesus’ words in Dr. Kevin Tully's sermon, "Reach Low, Aim High."

Have you ever found yourself wondering if God is truly listening, especially when the silence feels deafening?
In those moments of desperation, when you’ve tried everything but nothing seems to change, it’s easy to question whether even God cares. This Sunday, we’ll explore the story of a Canaanite woman who refused to give up, even when it seemed like Jesus himself was turning her away. What does it mean to have a faith that persists, that keeps crying out when it seems no one is listening?

Join us as we delve into the depths of unwavering faith and discover the power of persistence in the face of silence in Dr. Kevin Tully's sermon, “Nevertheless, She Persisted."

In today's fast-paced world, relying on our GPS to guide us through unfamiliar roads is easy. But what happens when the path we need isn't about highways and exits but about the choices we make every day? This Sunday, we will explore Jesus' powerful message from the Sermon on the Mount about finding and following the narrow road that leads to life. Discover how we can course-correct and realign ourselves with God's purpose, even when we feel lost in the waves of life's distractions.

Join us this Sunday as we continue our summer series on the Sermon on the Mount with Dr. Kevin Tully's sermon, "GPS is Helpful, But…"

Have you ever felt lost, even when you thought you were on the right path?
In life, as in travel, we often rely on our personal “GPS” to guide us, but what if our internal compass isn’t pointing in the right direction? In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus challenges us to consider the paths we choose and the gates we enter. The road to spiritual fulfillment is not the wide, easy road, but the narrow path that requires faith, intentionality, and trust.

As followers of Jesus Christ, our words, actions, and how we live our daily lives are the foundational truth of our inner faith life.
Come and hear Jesus’ powerful final message in the Sermon on the Mount, where we will examine the structural integrity of our faith practices through the structural integrity stories of this parable of foundations. Through their stories, we’ll explore our faith foundations. Do we have the same problems that Jesus articulates in these verses?
