YOU BELONG HERE

FIND A PLACE TO SERVE

FUMC is a community where everyone belongs!  Find your "just right" place in the church to serve.

SERVICE GREETER

Welcome congregants, distribute bulletins, assist with seating, and collect offering in worship services.

NURSERY

Nursery volunteers are responsible for assisting with the care and supervision of young children during service. Their duties typically include engaging in play activities, ensuring a safe environment, attending to the basic needs of the children, and implementing educational and recreational activities.

MUSIC

Are you eager to serve the church musically? At FUMC Waxahachie, we offer numerous opportunities for singers and instrumentalists alike. Whether your passion lies in traditional hymns with our Chancel Choir, the joyful resonance of handbells with our Glory Ringers, or the contemporary beats of our Modern Worship Band, there's a spot for you! If none of the groups mentioned fit you, no worries! We have even more musical groups. Join our vibrant community of worshippers and click the button below to learn more about how you can contribute your musical talents to our ministry.

CHILDREN'S GROUP LEADER

Get to know the children at FUMC and guide their spiritual journey. Leaders are needed each Sunday at 9:45 am. Small Group Leaders build relationships with our preschool and elementary kids and reinforce Bible stories through engaging activities. Background check and training required.

MODERN WORSHIP SERVICE

If you're looking to get involved in our Modern Service, there are numerous volunteer opportunities awaiting you! Whether you're tech-savvy or eager to learn, our Tech Team is open for volunteers to assist with running slides and managing the soundboard. If you enjoy interacting with people, consider joining our Hospitality Crew or Usher Team. Members of these teams help prepare coffee and treats for worship, greet attendees at the door, and collect offerings during the offertory.

YOUTH GROUP LEADER

Mentor and lead Middle School and High School small groups that meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Students will experience Christian community, discuss scripture, pray together, and seek guidance from their adult leaders as spiritual mentors.
